The Gay West Community Network is presenting the 1st Annual Parkdale Queer Pride Party, happening Saturday June 10th at the upstairs skylight room, Rhino Bar and Restaurent, private lounge, 1249 Queen Street W, just west of Dufferin Street, southside.(416-535-8089) In the past seven years there have been other Parkdale Pride Celebrations from from picnics to forums and everything in between. We're always thinking up something new and exciting. The non-profit "Network" has been around for nearly 10 years promoting queer events and happenings, as well as the multitude of queer-friendly establishments that are in the west end of Toronto. Parkdale is a place to party, as well as a place to call home.
1st Annual Pride Toronto West - Mix and Mingle Community Fair The fair provides Queer Activists, Community and Non-profit groups with a public forum to explain their role in our community, educate you about their mission, recruit volunteers and garner support for their cause. The Pride Toronto West Marketplace also, allows vendors, artisans and businesses large and small a wonderful space to exhibit and sell their wares, services, products and marketing support to our community. There will be business people to talk to you about Travel, Health, Lifestyle, Sports and Literature. This is a wonderful opportunity for businesses large and small to exhibit and sell their wares, services, products and marketing support to our community. The Community Fair will take place 7 PM to 9 PM, Saturday June 10th 2006. 6 hours non-stop - high energy DJ dance tunes until 3 AM
The Parkdale Pride Dance Party begins at 9PM Private lounge upstairs at The Rhino, 1249 Queen Street W, and is aimed at bringing various members of the community together to celebrate the beginning of summer, and act as a prelude to the Toronto Pride festivities. There will be a spectrum with of DJ’s, spinning throughout the night ~ One an Hour ~ with an Open Format. Are You Ready?

2nd Annual Toronto Pride Ride 2006 For those that are more energetic, the Gay West Bike Club is meeting for their monthly ride at noon on the same day. This “social bike club” generally meets the last Sunday of every month but this is a special Pride Ride to coincide with this event.
