CYCLE 2 draws a variety of local queer authors to share their most explicit sexual ink with you. These writers will be appearing in this functioning laundry.

In keeping with the space, you’re each encouraged to bring your dirty loads to this evening, while the writers unload.



Tamara Faith Berger has published two books Lie With Me and The Way of the Whore. She has also worked on screenplays, the most recent one about Carole Pope and Rough Trade. Joey Comeau lives in Toronto. He is the author of Lockpick Pornography and It's Too Late to Say I'm Sorry, from Loose Teeth press, and one half of the team behind http://www.asofterworld.com/His novel Overqualified is forthcoming from ECW in spring 2009. He will l be reading a short story or two from It's Too Late to Say I'm Sorry.

Sean Dixon is the author of the novel The Girls Who Saw Everything (Coach House 2007) aka The Last Days of the Lacuna Cabal (Harper Collins UK, 2008, Other Press US, 2009) and the YA novels The Feathered Cloak and its forthcoming sequel The Winter Drey (Key Porter). Also several plays, including Billy Nothin', Aerwacol and The Painting. He has contributed to the Canadian Theatre Review, Brick, The Globe and Mail and the Toronto Noir Anthology (Akashic 2008). Kristyn Dunnion is the author of novels Missing Matthew (2003), MOSH PIT (2004), and BIG BIG SKY (2008), all published by Red Deer Press. Some of her erotic short stories are anthologized in With a Rough Tongue: Femmes Write Porn (Arsenal Pulp Press, 2005), Periphery: Erotic Lesbian Futures (Lethe Press, 2008) and the forthcoming Fist Of The Spiderwoman (Arsenal Pulp Press, 2009). She is currently writing a story collection that explores the intersections of sex, power, culture and magic. Dunnion is also known as local personality Miss Kitty Galore, a wig-wearing party on wheels. She hosts cabarets, drag shows, burlesque parties, and weddings. She likes big boots, shaved heads, and loud music. Dunnion will be reading from a work in progress, an unpublished short story collection called DIRT. Lisa Foad is a Toronto-based writer whose work has appeared in various anthologies and literary journals, including Red Light: Superheroes, Sluts and Saints (Arsenal Pulp), Matrix Magazine, and Exile: The Literary Quarterly. Her short story collection, The Night Is A Mouth, is forthcoming Spring 2009 from Exile Editions. I'll be reading from my short story collection, The Night Is A Mouth (Exile Editions, Spring 2009).


Mike Hoolboom makes movies and more occasionally books. The Steve Machine (Coach House, Fall 2008) is his first novel. I'll be reading from The Steve Machine.


Russell Smith is the author of several novels. His most recent is the pornographic novella, Diana: A Diary In The Second Person. He will be reading from that novel.
