Halloween Event - Monday October 12 to 31, 2015 @ Queen Elizabeth Theatre (CNE Grounds) Screemers the ultimate family Halloween event and Toronto's #1 indoor haunted scream park, suitable for all ages! Halloween Event - Saturday October 17 to Monday October 19, 2015 - “Horror Queens” Opening Reception @ 1181 Queen St. W., Unit 4. Suspiria, Sara Deck, and Paige Reynolds paint their favourite queens from horror cinema! Over 20 pieces, including horror queens from The Bride of Frankenstein, Dracula’s Daughter, Carrie, Alien, Bram Stoker’s Dracula, Suspiria, and more. Featuring original works, limited edition prints, a door prize, Halloween tunes, and other tricks and treats! Show runs until October 19th (1-7 pm daily). Halloween Event - Saturday October 17 to 31, 2015 - All Ages Spooky Train Ride @ York-Durham Heritage Railway. All aboard for this frightening trip along the old rails of the York-Durham Heritage Railway. Ride with all manner of frights in these trains decked out for the holiday. Kids wearing costumes get to ride for free, and are presented loot bags at the end of each voyage. While enjoying the Halloween feeling in the train, you can also enjoy the sights of Southern Ontario as the leaves change colour. The railway encourages families to book early through their website. Infants under one who do not occupy a seat ride for free, and special discounts are available for groups of four. Boarding is at the Uxbridge Station. Halloween Event - Sunday October 18, 2015 - City of the Dead: The Necropolis Cemetery Tour (Not recommended for Childern under 8.) Tour the Necropolis Cemetery, visiting the graves of some of Toronto’s most significant people. The drama-enhanced tour visits the graves of William Lyon Mackenzie, his family, and his fellow rebels and rivals. Guests hear stories of murder, revenge, heartbreak and perseverance. Halloween Event - Saturday October 24, 2015 - Night of Dread @ Dufferin Grove Park. Clay & Paper Theatre presents the 16th annual Night of Dread, an evening of fearful pageantry, revels and mockery at this much loved, family-friendly, community event, Torontonians are encouraged to call on, mock and banish their private and collective fears through parade and pageantry, music and masquerade, dance and a devilishly good party. Halloween Event - Monday October 26, 2015 - All ages Hocus Pocus - A live, satirical reading of the cult classic @ Buddies. Set in Salem, Massachusetts on Halloween night, virgin Max Dennison, sister Dani, and new friend Allison, accidentally free a coven of evil witches. With the help of a talking cat, the kids must steal the witches’ book of spells to stop them from becoming immortal. The evening will also feature a costume contest and parade (with a prize for best costume), live musical performances, and free candy! Halloween Event - Tuesday October 27, 2015 - Ghost Stories Told Live @ The Garrison. After the roaring success of last year, we decided to bring back the wildly popular GHOST Stories Told Live! This time we have EIGHT storytellers, telling (mostly) true stories about eerie things that happened to or near them (or to one of their relatives). Halloween Event- Sunday November 1, 2015 - Pumpkin Parade @ Trinity Bellwoods Park. Friends of Trinity Bellwoods Park, in partnership with Ward 19 City Councillor Mike Layton, bring you this year’s annual Pumpkin Parade! The parade will take place lining the east-west footpath east of Crawford near Lobb (just north of the playground).
