Call Out for LGBT Submissions for Queer West Film Festival in August 2016

8th annual Toronto Queer West Film Festival will run August 12-14, 2016 at Innis Town Hall. Produced by the Queer West Arts Collective, working for more inclusive & complex queer identities, creating larger queer space & community in Toronto.

A panel of five judges will be reviewing each submission, then the Program Director will make the final selections

They will begin accepting film festival entries without charge on Opening Date January 1, 2016 though Filmfreeway.com. The Deadline for all entries is May 1st, 2016. Final selections will be made in late May 2016. July 2nd begin posting event listings, show times etc….. Submit your film for 2016

While they welcome submissions from all over the world,  their  emphasis this year, will be on Toronto film schools, queer youth 16-30 filmmakers. A day will be set aside for youth films,  otherwise age restriction is 19+. There will be other events during the festival including directors panel discussion and workshops. and a  getting to know us artists/filmmakers launch party,  in the early Spring at #Hashtag Gallery (TBC)
