Featuring Jace Traz’s live improvisation in response to recordings created by Jan Swinburne. Many artists work in alternate disciplines and do not differentiate between different expressive forms. Music and painting are often one of those intersections. This is very much reflected in the descriptive language of these mediums. Terms and concepts like textures, space, dynamics, progressions, ambience, foreground and the like become interchangeable in the quest to describe and understand. Jan Swinburne and Jace Traz have teamed up to combine their passions for painting and sound in the exhibition Sonic Seeing where their visual art plays counterpoint to their audio expressions.
