Friday October 17th to October 24th, 2008 - Toronto After Dark: Horror & Fantasy Film Festival. Sunday October 19 - The Bazaar of the Bizarre The Royal Sarcophagus Society presents their first ever Halloween & Holiday Marketplace! Sunday October 19 - Toronto Zombie Walk @ Trinity-Bellwoods Park Calling all zombies with a hunger for human brains. The sixth annual zombie walk takes place on evening October 19th. The starting location will be Trinity-Bellwoods Park. Zombies are invited for 3pm! The actual walk will start at 3:30pm. The zombie walk occurs when the living dead rise from their graves and roam the streets of Toronto, looking for human brains. More than 1,000 zombies are expected to show up and the event has become so popular that there is now a zombie walk in New York, Melbourne, Ottawa and Vancouver. Friday October 24 - HALLOWEEN SPOOKTACULAR! Saucy Tarts and Cinnamon Hearts @ Goodhandy's, The Saucy Tarts and Cinnamon Hearts present a terrify-rific night of burlesque and cancan with a spooky twist. We promise you thrills chills and frills, with special guests Sir Pomp La Moose and Johnny Heartfelt!


Stick around after the show for a dance party with DJ San Fran, and a costume contest with prizes from the Condom Shack and Cabaret Nostalgia.

Night of Dread is an invitation to the community to join us as we parade and mock images of our private and collective fears through the darkened streets of the Bloor/Dufferin communities..The procession returns to Dufferin Grove Park for an evening of ceremonial festivities that compel us to call on, mock and banish the fears that unite and divide us in these times. It is an evening of pageantry, music and masquerade incorporating towering puppets, stilt dancers, fire-twirlers and fearful masks in a daring exploration of dread.Night of Dread incorporates international folk and theatrical traditions that draw inspiration from the many festivals of death and remembrance around the world. Join Toronto musicians, puppeteers, dancers and stilt walkers as together we laugh at our fears, real and imagined, private and public.
