There's no queer life in Bloor West Village and homophobes are happy

Two years ago there was some minor gay vandalism in Bloor West Village. Pride Toronto rushed to their defense with 30 minute pep rally at Jane and Dundas W, and then disappeared.

BWV is a trendy up scaled neighbourhood with very pricey homes in west end of city, on Bloor W, between Jane and Runnymede. There has never been any LGBTQ community or events or supportive venues there in last 100 years, that I'm  aware of,  I know the community group Queer West did try to start something, but it fizzled out in 2005, no support. One Bloor West business recently of 400 stores wanted Queer West to support their Pride Sticker give-away (Nothing to do with them of course)

One tiny seven day pride event out of 365 days isn’t going enhance their community. BWV needs to start to growing, as our nascent Queer West Village neighbourhoods has to be done by some enterprising individuals and businesses, with some moxie, if they want to be seen as a supportive queer community of residents. .

Who will step forward and make Bloor West Village a proud and welcoming LGBTQ neighbourhood for everyone 365?
